This Privacy Policy explains how VidxCut collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data when you use VidxCut.com and related services.
VidxCut is operated by KALLOSSOFT.COM S.R.L. (“VidxCut”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). For personal data that we decide how and why to process, KALLOSSOFT.COM S.R.L. is the data controller.
What we collect
We may collect:
- account information, such as your email address, login details, display name, profile photo if you add one, and information from optional sign-in providers if you use them;
- uploaded media, such as videos, photos, audio, and files used in your projects;
- project and output data, such as project settings, rendered outputs, and related metadata;
- payment and billing information, such as subscription status, invoice data, and billing details returned to us by our payment provider. We do not store your full card details;
- technical and usage data, such as IP address, browser type, device information, and basic logs needed to operate and secure the service.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your uploaded content or generated outputs to train AI or machine learning models.
How we use information
We use information to:
- provide and operate the service;
- let you upload media, create projects, render outputs, and download results;
- authenticate users and manage accounts;
- process payments and manage subscriptions;
- maintain security, prevent abuse, and enforce our terms;
- improve performance, reliability, and user experience;
- comply with legal obligations.
Legal bases
Where required by law, we rely on legal bases such as performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing VidxCut, complying with legal obligations, and your consent where consent is required.
Automated processing
VidxCut uses automated processing to provide editing and rendering features. This processing is used only to deliver the service you request. It is not used to make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you.
Media and project files
When you upload media or create projects, we may store and process that content so the service can function.
This may include temporary processing, storage of project files, rendered outputs, and limited operational data needed to complete and support the service.
We do not make your uploaded content or rendered outputs public unless you choose to share them.
If you create or share a VidxCut share link, anyone with that link may be able to view or download the rendered output until the link, project, or file expires or is removed.
If you delete a project, media item, or account, we may delete the related content from our active systems, subject to limited retention for backups, security, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or system recovery. Deleting a project may not delete media that you separately keep in your media library.
International transfers
Because our service may use providers in different countries, your information may be transferred to and processed outside your country of residence. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, operate accounts and projects, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data and how the service is used.
Anonymous projects, uploaded files, rendered videos, and related temporary work may be retained for up to 7 days unless you create or claim an account before they expire.
Deleting your account
You can permanently delete your VidxCut account at any time from your Account page. The “Delete account” option is shown at the bottom of the page and requires explicit confirmation.
When you delete your account, we remove your account, profile, uploaded videos and music, saved projects, rendered outputs, and associated share links from our active systems. This action is permanent and cannot be undone, and we cannot recover deleted content for you.
If you have an active paid subscription, you will be asked to cancel it from the billing portal before your account can be deleted. This is to prevent further charges to a payment method that is no longer attached to an active account.
Some information may be retained for a limited period after deletion where necessary for backups, security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or system recovery, after which it is removed or anonymized according to our retention practices.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to certain processing, request portability where applicable, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority.
Children
VidxCut is not intended for children under 16 or the minimum age required by applicable law. If we learn that we collected personal data from a child in violation of applicable law, we will take steps to delete it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date.
